Infovity to Connect Parts Manufacturer in the Cloud with Oracle ERP and SCM

Go-Live Date: March 2021

Customer Overview

Spire Manufacturing is a parts manufacturer and prime government contractor for the U.S. military. New Department of Defense (DoD) requirements require contractors and manufacturers to comply with the updated system guidelines, which Oracle provides in its specialty data cloud data centers. In fact, Oracle is one of the few systems certified for DoD.

Challenges and Objectives:

Spire Manufacturing’s financial and supply chain solutions were siloed, and all processes were different and highly manual. It used multiple ERP solutions and QuickBooks for accounting, and Job Boss for manufacturing. Spire required a unified system for manufacturing, quality, inventory, procurement, costing, and reporting to increase business automation and streamline processes to stay competitive. As a prime DoD contractor, it had to be on a secure data center in the Cloud.

Solution

Infovity replaced Spire’s legacy solutions with Oracle Cloud ERP and Oracle Cloud SCM. The implementation included Quality Control, Procurement, banking integrations, and becoming DoD compliant.

  • Unified Finance and Manufacturing in the Cloud
  • Oracle Cloud ERP (not EPM)
  • Oracle Cloud SCM
  • Banking Integrations

Results:

  • Unified Spire’s Finance and Supply Chain in the Cloud
  • Financial close reduced by 50%
  • Procurement and Order Management improved customer service and inventory reduction
  • Met Department of Defense’s new compliance guidelines
  • Spire is more agile and competitive than ever
