When QuickBooks Couldn’t Keep Up, Instacart Chose Infovity to Implement Oracle Cloud ERP

Background:

Instacart operates a same-day grocery delivery service by connecting consumers with personal shoppers who hand pick items at the customers’ favorite local stores and deliver the merchandise straight to their door. Apart from its website, the Instacart service is mainly provided through a smartphone app on the iOS and Android platforms.

Situation:

The Instacart accounting department was using intuit QuickBooks as its primary financial software. As the company grew, QuickBooks was unable to scale, lacked automation features, was inefficient and offered little oversight or control. After deciding to implement Oracle Cloud ERP, Instacart chose to partner with Infovity based on its deep expertise and proven track record of successful Oracle Cloud implementations.

Solution:

The Infovity Oracle Cloud ERP implementation went from discovery to live in four months. Now Instacart has the ability to automate approvals and workflows, improve vendor payments, audit the financials, and scale as needed. Infovity was frequently on site and helped Instacart work through the implementation based on best practices.

Results:

The Infovity solution offered Instacart:

  • Tools for collaboration and real-time access to the latest data
  • Role-based dashboards for greater control
  • Rapid reconciliation and end-to-end financial integration
  • A system less error-prone due to automating manual tasks
  • The ability to scale inherently as the business grow
